PhotoStory Friday
Hosted by Cecily and MamaGeek

Solo is one of batik center. It has specific highly artistic patterns..
Solo adalah salah satu pusat batik. Polanya khusus dan berseni tinggi.

Solo Batik Carnival is an annual event, and this year was the second. It was held on 28 June 2009 and I was there with Dan! (I can't remember how I could forget to post about this then). I don't have much to tell, but I have a lot to show...

the participants help each other to prepare them selves before the carnival begun
para peserta saling bantu bersiap sebelum karnaval dimulai

oh this poor lonely clown..
oh badut yang malang, kesepian...

even elementary school students participated also

look at those beautiful princesses!

ah, those warriors are nothing compared to my hero, Dan :P
ah, para ksatria tu ndak ada apa-apanga dibanding pahlawanku, Dan :P

yoo hoo... can you find me?

Saya salut sama pak walikota Solo. Pemimpin yang berjiwa kerakyatan, memindahkan pedagang kakilima gak pake main gusur pakai satpol pp, tapi pendekatan yang maknyuss. Beliau penuh terobosan, Festival batik ini salah satunya. Salut, pak Jokowi.
