(broken) iLand

Ir built these buildings in a game on Facebook, iLand. this game provides materials of many kinds. wooden, glass, brick, stone. you stay in an island and you can build anything you want with the materials. it takes imaginations, spatial viewing ability, and tons of patience.

in this game you are connected with friends so. you can interact on a chat and visit each other. that's fun.

what's not fun is when a friend, you don't know which one, silently come and destroy your creations. yes that's what's happened to Ir's buildings. he opened up the game's home and found some parts were awfully broken. you can always fix them up. but, as material supplies change every months, you might get out of some kind of materials. so you just put on any materials that doesn't match the rest. it's not beautiful at all. he didn't let me take any picture of those broken parts.



'heartless....' he said, while 'walking' around searching and then fix the broken parts. he could not figure out who that possibly be. still he didn't seem to get mad though. he just kept calm and fixing patiently. and I keep wondering, why would any body want to destroy a friend's creation?



I sat next to him, watching. it seemed tiring (even more because it is not only your buildings that's been broken, but also your heart). and when he was finally done...

'oooh... I'm so tired. let's lay down and have some rest on my bed.."

well, that sounds fine and relaxing :)

from the mind to the type writer

hoho... so this is what comes to my baby's mind when he wanted to try to write with a type writer..

the partner

I guess they will always be partners in any thing.

they play games and swipe level by level, together. I notice that if they play alone won't be as good as if they play together (as one). Ar is great in controling the mouse, Ir is wonderful in strategi.

I often hear Ar shouts calling Ir to join him. and I hear how Ir directs Ar to shoot now or wait until the enemy move there, or shoot from up here or go behind the big spaceship.

and I hear, a lot, how the yell a hooray together each time they succeed a level.

I hope they can be partners in passing the levels of life, as well.

a little make up

a kept awake till over midnight working on Ibit's blog template.
it should not be that hard if only I was familiar with html, but I am not. I just stared at the characters and tried to understand them. I used to have some one some where to guide me editing my blog CSS via Yahoo Messenger or GTalk. but I was afraid that I would be bothering to ask for his help again.
aku melek sampai lewat tengah malam ngutak-atik blognya Ibit.
harusnya ngga sulit-sulit amat kalau aku paham html, masalahnya aku tidak. jadi aku pelototin aja semua karakter dan mencoba mengerti. dulu ada seseorang di jauh seberang yang membantuku mengedit CSS blogku via YM atau GTalk. tapi aku takut dianya keganggu kalau aku minta tolong lagi

*aku masih mancari-cari kenapa post body-ku bisa nggeser ke kanan sedikit seperti itu. mau aku balikin ke tengah tapi belum ketemu juga gimana caranya*

so after at least two hours trying, I gave up with Ibit's blog. enough to just change the blog back ground image. I am so glad she likes it :D.
jadi setelah berjam-jam mencoba, aku menyerah. hasilnya cuma ngganti gambar background, untung Ibit suka :D


I think I still need to change some font colors, and make sure Ibitwill always copy-paste her writings from MS Word to blog on 'edit html' -- just to keep the font family and size in defaults...
kayanya masih harus ngganti warna huruf, dan memastikan Ibit selalu kopi paste tulisannya dari word ke blog di 'edit html'-- supaya bentuk dan ukuran hurufnya ngga berubah...

shortcuts by Ar

Okay, this is not a photo. it is just a printscreen image of my PC

perhatikan banyaknya shortcut di situ. tapi apa aku berniat menghapus sebagian? engga. sebagian shortcut itu adalah untuk games, dibikin oleh Ar
now take a look and you'll find just too many shortcuts there. but would I delete some? no I wouldn't. most of the shortcuts are games, and made by Ar.

menurutku Ar itu menakjubkan kalu soal komputer. tidak ada yang pernah mengajari dia bikin shortcut. dan semua game yang dia bikin shortcutnya itu, dia sudah tamat, paling tidak hampir. di game turtlebay, aku ga bisa main lebihdari level 3 dari 10 level yang ada. dia sudah khatam.
I always think Ar is amazing about computer. nobody ever taught him how to make shortcuts. and all those games, he has end up to the last level, or almost. in 'turtlebay' I couldn't even go further then 3 of 10, but he has finished.

dia belajar sendiri cara main semua game itu. padahal instruksinya bahasa inggris. sedang Ar belum bisa baca lancar, ga ngerti bahasa inggris pula.
he taught himself how to play them. and all those games instructions are in English. he even still can not read Indonesian well. and doesn't know english.

menurutku sih ini hebat, tapi sepertinya aku perlu lebih waspada kalau nanti dia mulai kenal internet...
I think it is something great, but I need to be more aware when one day he knows about internet...
