favorites

it was cloudy all day long
mendung seharian

but we couldn't just stay at home
tapi kami nggak mau di rumah saja

park is always my chidren's favorite
taman selalu jadi kesukaan anak-anak

water is always Ar - Ir's favorite
air selalu jadi kesukaan Ar Ir

and to pose, is always Ibit's favorite
dan berpose, selalu jadi kesukaan Ibit

I cooked ayam semur (chicken smoor) for dinner. Ibit was reading up in her room when I was cooking it. She stepped few steps down stairs and (yelled) asked, "Are we having ayam semur for dinner?'. Yes she could smell it...

aku masak ayam semur buat makan malam. Ibit sedang di atas, di kamarnya waktu aku sedang memasaknya. Dia turun beberapa telundakan dan (agak berteriak) bertanya, "Apa kita akan makan ayam semur?". Ya, dia bisa mencium aromanya.

Ayam semur is her favorite
ayam semur adalah kesukaannya
AYAM SEMUR:
Heat 2 spoon of vegetable oil. Put in 4 chopped garlics. When the garlic smells good, put in 3 spoons of soy sauce, 500 grams cut chicken. Stir a little while then put 300 cc of water, 1/2 teaspoon of pepper, 1 spoon of oyster sauce, 1 teaspoon of salt. Wait until it is wellcooked. Done.

monggo monggo... aku udah ngelink blognya pasha tanpa ijin (jadi malu...) sekarang aja minta ijinnya yach... Dapurku jarang kelihatan mbak, modelnya yang quick cook pula. Soalnya gak pinter masak :)
==== you are welcome. I've linked to pasha's blog without asking permission... sorry... My kitchen doesn't appear a lot. It's also quick cooking, since I'm not a good cookie :)

The park is one of my kids favorites, too. Do you serve anything else with the chicken?

Angie, we Javenese always eat rice with something, like chicken for example. The complete menu for us are: rice, vegetables, and what we call 'lauk' which could be anything (meat, fish, chicken, shrimp, eggs, tempe, tahu, or else).
But sometimes the veg is left, coz rice+lauk taste good enough, but not healthy enough ofcourse.
But I have made my children to get use to eat 'not always rice'. They sometime only have bread for breakfast.
